WPD helps deputies catch suspect from the sky

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- New Hanover County Sheriff's deputies had some help from the Wilmington Police Department's eye in the sky as they tracked down a suspect in Castle Hayne last night. Deputies say 51-year-old Larry Bradshaw assaulted his girlfriend before running into the woods.

The Sheriff's Office called the K-9 unit and SABLE, the Wilmington Police Department's helicopter, to track down Bradshaw. Officers followed Bradshaw to a nearby relative's house. He is charged with misdemeanor assault and is being held at the New Hanover County Jail.
