99% of all species that ever existed are now extinct. The existence of humans at all is already beating the odds. To top that, the sperm that became you beat out millions of others for the egg. Yet, you're willing to just throw that all away if life doesn't give you immortality.
Sorry, but beggars can't be chosers. You can either choose to enjoy life while you have it or waste your life bemoaning its brevity. Oh, the other option is to just pretend that you'll never die. Well, if that makes you happier, go for it.
