By your account of events in the Bible and the fact that you are a moral and upstanding person must mean you can not really be patriotic as well...
On December 26, 1862, Abraham Lincoln ordered the largest mass execution in American history in which the guilt of the executed could not be positively determined beyond reasonable doubt.
So, I'm sure you cannot in good faith, have a strong belief in the heritage of this country seeing that there is a dark side to history as well?
