I don't think so. Do you have any idea how many millions of dollars was spent on picking up the lead-acid batteries the Coasties dumped at the beacon markers they maintained? All along the Florida and southeast U.S. coast, thousands of those batteries were dumped at the base of the pilings of the respective markers by the US Coast Guard. Some pilings had 20-30 batteries at its base and a major Haz-Mat cleanup effort was initiated by the government to clean their mess up.
Now...how often is "ALWAYS" to you, or are we talking a hollywood "ALWAYS"?
