That is probably one of the most ridiculous comments I have heard...having the bar owners fined for what grown people do after they leave the bars?? How about this...FINE THE IDIOTS WHO ARE CAUSING THE TROUBLE! Instead, they are not held accountable for their actions and continue to give downtown a bad name. I work at a downtown bar and we very rarely have ANY problems. We have great staff who do their jobs and diffuse any potential situation before it becomes a problem. We have a trained staff that uses vigilance and professionalism. This needs to be the same for the police when the bars let out. I feel as though downtown bars have been targeted and put under a microscope lately because Wilmington is looking to squeeze money from somewhere...so why not try and tax bars a little more...
