We need you here in Wilmington, desperately. The number of people who don't even flinch at Bozz Saffo handing $25,000 to one of close friends and political associates is downright frightening. When corruption becomes so commonplace that folks don't even bother to question it, you have to wonder if it's worth even living here any more. Just like all little crooks and their buddies, when a TV station reports it, they go crazy criticizing it for letting the fresh air and sunshine in to clean out the stench.
By the way, Charlie, I'll eat my hat if "four or five-thousand people" attend this commissioning. And maybe the Navy is giving us a second commissioning because they realize what suckers we are.
Do the math, folks. Figure out what people will have to spend for the county and city to each recoup $25,000 in sales tax.
Here's hoping that WWAY continues their accurate reporting of events by giving us an honest headcount devoid of Bozz Saffo's political spin.
Bo and Luke, where are you?
