Gas prices keep climbing

We hate to hear it, but gas prices are continuing to rise. Wilmington prices are averaging at $2.73 a gallon.

According to, prices were $2.36 in the Port City one year ago. The national average is up to $2.81 a gallon.

The hike has some people staying off the roads, like Johnathan Shaw. "I just want to sit at home and relax and stay out of this traffic because gas prices. It's just ridiculous," says Shaw.

Prices in Wilmington have gone up eight cents since last week.
