I guess I just don't understand the "film gypsy" lifestyle. I sold out early and built my life on two lucrative careers. The state now looks at me as a Fountain of Funding while the film industry gets coddled, cooed over, and treated like the new puppy.
BTW, the same argument you people use can apply to any and every industry that chooses to come to NC. "If they come here they will spend."
The film industry deserves no special treatment. Even at it's peak in the Nineties, it returned less to the state and locals than ANY of those industries Dick and Bev sang and danced about.
