The films are about to start rolling at this year's Cucalorus Film Festival. Tickets are selling fast.
One-hundred-fifty films are projected to attract about 10,000 people to the Port City from around the world. The festival starts Thursday and lasts through Sunday.
Cucalorus Festival Director Dan Brawley urges people to attend.
"I'm really excited about the people who come," Brawley said. "It's all about the audience. We've sold a lot of passes already. And that's what's so rewarding about it, is when people come together to celebrate film-making. It's a great chance to soak-up downtown Wilmington for a few days in the fall before it gets really cold."
You can buy Cucalorus tickets online at http://www.etix.com or http://www.Cucalorus.org, or at the festival box office on the corner of 2nd and Princess Streets in downtown Wilmington. Individual screenings cost between $10 and $15. Premium, VIP passes, which include access to all the shows and private parties, cost $300.
