It's ashame how you generalize the African American community as a whole. Racism is so prevelant in Wilmington that it's a dam shame. Of course we all want better for our kids. Would it be fair for me to say that I don't want my child to be sent to a school with your kids, b/c your kids are known to take the school hostage and go on shooting rampage or set bombs to the school. I am an African American "PROUD" with morals, and values. It's all in how you were raised as a child. Yes we have African Americans in the project but we also have Whites in the trailer park! As for me, I grew up in a single family home I got into a fight in High School but that didn't define who I am, but who I am is a Nurse at the Hospital and may have had to help you or one of your family members. By sending "YOUR" kids to neighborhood schools is setting them up for failure. When they do go outside the bubble the will encounter people from all walks of life and they won't know how to adapt. Proud to say I graduated from Laney with people from low, middle, and high income homes again ALL WALKS OF LIFE!!!
