The disturbing thing is, you ask the wrong question. The question should be, is what he said, truthful? If it is, we have our answer. If not, then you "I actually was interviewed", as a college educated person should find it easy to repudiate those falsehoods. It's more revealing that you chose either to neglect that avenue or were unable to do so.
