Business owners offering reward to catch killer

READ MORE: Business owners offering reward to catch killer
OAK ISLAND -- Business owners in Oak Island are coming together to try to catch a local man's killer. Yellow reward posters have started popping up in business windows since last week. That's when Phillip Cook was found dead on the front porch of his home off of Northeast 25th Street. So far local business owners have raised $25,000 in reward money to help find the person responsible for Cook's murder. Oak Island business owner Dave Cooper said, "It's not just business owners who want to catch him, it's for the ambiance of the island." If you have any information about Cook's death, you are urged to call the Oak Island Police Department at 278-5595.
