For the life of me ill NEVER understand the notion that your 'hard-earned tax dollars' are yours any longer. Like it or not, once it leaves your pay check, ITS NO LONGER YOURS. Its not YOUR DECISION what it goes for any longer, the Public as a Whole decides. Once it leaves your pockets, ITS NOT YOURS.
It is what it is, and NOTHING you do will ever change that. All you can do is express YOUR opinion on what the money should be spent on. Don't like Welfare, voice your opinion to your public officials. But don't whine and moan on an internet forum about where YOUR money goes, then sulk in self-pity because no one listens to YOU.
