I hear anti-drug advocates claim their hard-line positions are founded on concern for our future generations and "not wanting to send the wrong message to young people" It is their best defense, since denying adults freedom of choice is pretty indefensible. I would personally like to know what kind of message you are sending when you place someone in possession of marijuana under a one million dollar bond, and then give Elisa Baker a $100,000 bond. Hmmmm, could it be that aiding in the murder and dismemberment a disabled 10 year old little girl is not NEARLY as bad as riding around with 56 pounds of plant matter in your car?
