Murder-suicide investigation continues


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- New Hanover County Sheriff's detectives are trying to figure out what led to two deaths over the weekend in an apparent murder-suicide.

Deputies say Joseph Lane Rouse jumped to his death off the College Road overpass onto I-140 Saturday afternoon. While investigating, a woman stopped and told deputies the car Rouse parked on the overpass belonged to her sister, Kimberly Hill. That led them to Hill's apartment, where they found her dead.

Autopsies for hill and rouse are scheduled for this week.
