Four County EMC monitoring forecasts, preparing for winter storm

BURGAW, NC (NEWS RELEASE) -- Four County EMC employees are on standby and ready to restore power as quickly as possible if outages should occur as a result of the winter storm. Because crews are located in the communities they serve, restoration crews are always on-site and can begin work immediately.

Four County members are asked to call (8880 368-7289 if they experience a disruption in power.

People should treat power lines lying on the ground as if they are energized. Also, people should stay away from trees or branches that are touching power lines. Trees touching power lines can act as conductors and deliver an electric shock, causing injury to those who come in contact. If you see a downed line, call your electric utility or 911.
