The Due Process Clause of

The Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment prohibits states from depriving "any person of life, liberty, or PROPERTY without due process of law." The concept of "Due Process" encompasses rights not only to judicial procedures and judicial remedies, but also to administrative procedures and to judicial review of administrative decisions. The Supreme Court recognizes rights to both procedural and substantive due process. I believe the state of North Carolina has that issue in hand.

The "wants more Power" part of this story is what people need to focus on. Do the local Officials need "More Power"....?

If Mr Thompson wants do more to help his community, he needs to get into "Law Enforcement". He needs to go to Basic Law Enforcement Training, get a job with Wilmington PD, and put himself downtown on front street the next time a "Bones, Thugs, and Losers" band cranks up a horde of Drunk Goblins and dumps them out the door right in front of him.

Then he can either reach for his intestinal fortitude to handle the situation, or he can reach for his cell phone to call Mommie...

Jason, stick to fixing potholes, water mains, and bus schedules.....
