Seems a little unreasonable to just go out and hire a "facilitator" without any form of explaination. What is the purpose? What is the payback? Is this a luxury or a neccessity? If it's neccessary, why? What does the $18,000 per day get them? It's entirely possible that this is a needed expense...but how is anyone to know? Just because the commissioners said so?
If the fire department wants to go out and buy a truck or hire firefighters, they damn well better have justification. Seems only fair that the same scrutiny applies to the local government.
