I do not regularly dine or shop downtown ILM because of the parking availability and fees. I can visit other shops and restaurants in Wilmington, easily park, and avoid additional parking costs. I agree, if parking downtown were free, then the only hassle would be finding a park. I know I would visit downtown more.
