NBA record holder returns home to scout UNCW-Towson game

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Former North Brunswick Scorpion Chucky Brown had a long and productive NBA career. He entered the NBA in 1989 as a rookie with the Cleveland Cavaliers. His last stint on the court in the NBA was 2002 with Sacramento. In all, Chucky played for 12 different NBA teams in a 13 year career. That's currently a record that he shares with three other players. The Navassa native currently lives in Raleigh.

The former NC State standout is no longer an active player, but Chucky is active these days in a new career. He's a NBA scout for the New Orleans Hornets. Saturday night Chucky sat on media row at Trask Coliseum in order to watch UNC Wilmington play Towson. WWAY's John Rendleman will feature Chucky Brown on Sunday's Coach's Corner. That's today at 6pm on WWAY. Chucky will provide a scouting report on one of the UNCW players. He'll even explain how the Seahawks beat Towson Saturday night. On top of that the Brunswick County native and John reminisce about a trip they took together back in the early 1990s during an NBA All-Star weekend.
