My heart goes out to the family. You have lost a precious loved one - she wanted to serve her country and she did. May all the wonderful memories you have of her comfort and bless you.
As for the group planning the protest, I am a Christian and I can tell you they do not represent my God. They are a fringe group with their own agenda led by a man who is no more of God than satan is. They have their own form of terrorism.
For the community, if this group shows up, I hope that you will form a line between them and the church where the funeral will be and show them that their behavior will not be tolerated. Do it peacefully - don't lower your self to their level - but protect the family and friends of this young lady.
