Seems your headline should state "...ALLEGEDLY says the chancellor search is a shame". As written you have made readers believe it is factual - you don't know this yet and you don't get to the point where the statement is being denied and hasn't been validated until the last paragraph. Professional journalism? Have you heard of "innocent until proven guilty"?
