Wilmington man dead after shooting, car crash

WILMINGTON -- Early morning gunfire resulted in the death of a Wilmington man. Twenty-nine-year-old Morris Cuttino was shot through his car door around four a.m. Monday near Tenth and Grace Streets. Cuttino was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center where he later died. Wilmington Police are investigating the incident as a homicide and believe it started around McRae and Rankin Streets. Family and friends gathered at Cuttino's mother's house Monday and were too distraught to comment.
