WILMINGTON, NC - A cold rain will dominate the weather picture through late Saturday as a series of low pressure systems move northeast along the coast or just offshore.

Once the rain lets up Saturday evening, some drier air will filter in just in time for Super Bowl Sunday when we expect plenty of sunshine.

However, this dry air will be short-lived as another system will bring the possibility of showers on Monday. But the real strong storm we are watching waits until Thursday to move through the Carolinas. Stay tuned for details on this system.
