ELIZABETHTOWN, NC (WWAY) -- Elizabethtown's town manager says despite some bumps in the road, the town's revitalization program is showing signs of progress. In the next two weeks crews should be done moving overhead power lines underground along with moving traffic signals to metal polls from overhead wires. The project has encountered problems including fuel tanks found underground and weather delays. The project, which was supposed to be finished around Thanksgiving should now be done in early spring. The goal of the revitalization project was to give Elizabethtown a facelift. The town manager says the results should be worth all the headaches.
