CHARLOTTE, NC (AP) -- Charlotte Police say they are investigating a shootout involving rapper Waka Flocka Flame that left one person wounded.
Police told The Charlotte Observer that the 24-year-old rapper, whose real name is Juaquin Malphurs, was at Car Stereo Warehouse Wednesday afternoon. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police spokesman Rob Tufano says two vehicles drove into the store's parking lot around 4 p.m. as the rapper spoke with fans.
Tufano says the men in the car and people in the rapper's party exchanged gunfire.
Police say one person was shot in the shoulder and had non-life-threatening injuries.
No charges have been filed. The paper reports Waka Floka Flame and three other men were questioned.
Tufano didn't immediately return a phone call to The Associated Press seeking further comment.
