GREENSBORO, NC (AP) -- Taxpayers from the Carolinas who mail in their federal tax forms must use new addresses this year. Internal Revenue Service spokesman Mark Hanson said Friday that taxpayers who get refunds must send them to the IRS Kansas City Service Center in Kansas City, MO. Those who have to pay taxes send payments to Hartford, CT. He says taxpayers who use the envelope provided with the income tax instructions don't have to worry about the address and their returns will go to the correct center. Hanson said the change will affect about a third of the taxpayers in the Carolinas. The other two-thirds file electronically. (Copyright 2011 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
