Contrary to belief, North Carolina does not have a citizens arrest law, so anyone other than a police officer cannot detain you, without violating your Constitutional Rights, which can get them sued, as well as the agent which employs them. With this in mind, if Wally World makes a mistake in charging someone with shoplifting, and their arrested, guess who the NEW owner of Wally World will be?
