Maybe it didn't occur to you that a bridge South of Wilmington would alleviate soome of the problems coming to and from Leland and Wilmington.
The four lane highway portion through the causeway is already terrible again as it sinks back into the marsh. The DOT rebuilt it ten years ago and it's already back to the condition it was in then.
