Leland Police: Man shot over $5

BRUNSWICK COUNTY -- Leland Police are investigating an early morning shooting that left one man wounded. Detectives say Robert Warren was shot twice around one o'clock Wednesday morning in the 9800 block of Wayne Street in an argument over $5. They say Warren's injuries are not life-threatening. According to detectives, Warren was shot once in the chest -- a second shot missed, but when Warren got up and chased after the suspect, he was shot again. The shot glanced his rib cage and he had to have his spleen removed. No arrests have been made.
