If all the lady did was egg on the fight, like the article said, then that is not defending her child. Defending someone takes action. I would have to be beat down with my child or overcome the attackers. There would be no other choice, as far as I'm concerned. As far as the police go, I wonder if she had called them after the first fight? And why would you tell your child to ignore the police rather than ask for their help? They've got guns, batons, pepper spray, and cuffs! Either the article is not giving all the facts or this Ms. McKoy is just a very poor parent.
