Unemployment down in southeastern NC

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Unemployment rates dropped in February in all five of our counties. In fact, the rate went up in just one of North Carolina's 100 counties, according to the Employment Security Commission.

Bladen County saw a drop of half a point, down to 12.0 percent.

Brunswick went from 12.2 to 11.9 percent.

Columbus was down to 12.7 percent from 13.1.

New Hanover has the lowest rate of the bunch, down to 9.4 from 9.7 percent.

And Pender saw the biggest drop down to 10.5 from 11.1 percent.
