WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The 58th Annual Azalea Garden Tour kicks off tomorrow. One unique stop features not one, but two homes with an adjoined garden. Nicknamed "The Twin Homes," these two cottages were built in the 1930s and are mirror images of each other. Take a stroll through the middle walkway between the homes and you'll find yourself surrounded by water. More than 20 water features line this beautiful garden, all created by owner josh Rickards, who also runs his own water feature company. "it just really relaxes you. It's real tranquil," Rickards said. "It's just nice to come out and the sight and sound of water really does relax you." By far the most unique piece in the yard is a fire pit, which doubles as a fountain. Even though the water and flames collide in the center, the fire stays lit. The garden also features plenty of spring color and some beautiful Japanese maples.
