Yes, the Health Dept. should be notified and it was smart of the people to make that contact.
I don't understand why the couple was asked to leave when they INFORMED the Hotel's Management that there was a problem in the room (no matter WHAT the problem was.) The couple had already PAID for the room and should have been treated as GUESTS, right?
We recently stayed at a beautiful hotel and had no problems, but if we did, we know that the Management would have WANTED TO KNOW, and would not have condemed us or referred to us as unintelligent.

I think the report made the news, no different than it made the News when some of the homeless shelters were openly attempting to control their bed bug problems.
I want to know this type of news, AND I would want to know if the report turns out to be false too.
