Jon David was attempting to do something GOOD for the community by helping to save the lives of young drivers - the #1 killer of people 16-25 yrs old. This program is a proven success in New Hanover, Pender, Guilford and Johnston Counties - why wouldn't a DA who cares about his community want it?
And to WECT - you need to get your story RIGHT. This is terrible reporting. StreetSafe is a NON-PROFIT organization whose sole purpose is to help save the lives of young drivers. It does not run the 4 and 8 hour classes at the community college. It is a hands-on driving program for young drivers and their parents. Why don't you work on the real story here which seems to be the motivation of Judge Jolly. It is absolutely absurd that he would attempt to portray this as some sort of scheme - how ridiculous!
