To reiterate here, UNCW's treatment of veterans and it's VA rep are nothing less than excellent. The issue at hand is the passing of new GI Bill rules that alter veterans benefits mid-course, while they are already enrolled in a particular program. This affects out-of-state students as well as those attending private schools. There is currently legislation in the works (H.R. 1383, the "Restoring GI Bill Fairness Act of 2011") that seeks to rectify this by grandfathering-in students currently enrolled in their respective programs.
