As someone who grew up on Rutledge Drive, went to JC Roe elem. and the "old" Boys Club on the corner(blue building), I was amazed at what Long Leaf Park had turned into last time I was in town about 5 years ago. It was a little rough back then as well, but safe none the less for us kids to play without any fear.
