Right now, the Feds are wheeling & dealing; moving funds from one department to another to keep all government agencies afloat.
Heck, watch the media or read the paper. Speaker of the House, this week, confirmed the House will not approve any increase in the national debt unless there is a corresponding reduction in government spending. Barrack & the Senate Democrats are not yet taking him seriously.
The wheeling & dealing, the smoke & mirrors are temporary illusions.
They buy a little time. But that's all, a temporary postponement.
In the absence of an increase in the debt ceiling, the Federal Government will come to a screaching halt.

& NC is not far behind if her Majesty does not get serious and listen to both houses of the Legislature.
