I appreciate those that try and keep the ferral cat population in check. I get very angry when people do not get their pets, cats, dogs, etc, etc, spayed or neutered. The story of the poor Roy makes me sad and very angry. I feel no one has the right to come into a neighbor hood unless someone has complained about a problem with ferral cats and then should let the neighbors know they will be coming in on certain days. My reason for this is I have always had cats for pets and most of them have been rescued pets. The last time I placed a collar around one of my pet cats I found him hanging from a tree by his collar which had caught on a limb. I could never do this again. So please keep this in mind when you go around corraling cats to be fixed "again".
