Gas prices dropping? Not here yet

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- It seems like gas prices across the country have leveled off over the past week, but not in North Carolina.

Prices have jumped from $3.83 a gallon one week ago to almost $3.87 today across the Tar Heel state. Gas prices in Wilmington have also increased. Last week, gas was $3.84. This week, it's up two cents at $3.86.

Micheal Williams says he's tired of the high prices. He says he drives all over town trying to find the best deals.

"I ain't got no money," Williams said. "I travel from Monkey Junction all the way down here to Market Street trying to find out which gas station got the cheapest gas."

Williams chose to fill up at the Han-Dee Hugo on Market Street today, where gas cost $3.83 a gallon.
