CHARLOTTE, NC (AP) -- Two Charlotte students in two days have been found bringing guns on school buses.
A Northeast Middle School student faces kidnapping and weapons charges after pulling a gun on a bus driver after school Monday.
Police say the student tried to force the driver to take him to a different location, but the driver talked the student into handing over the gun and leaving the bus.
Another student reported that the first boy also had handed him a gun and asked him to help in the confrontation. The second student did not assist his classmate. No one was injured.
Officials at Jay M. Robinson Middle School said a student was turned over to police Tuesday after being found with an unloaded gun he brought with him on the bus.
