You lost your job but still decided to have another child? Was that a wise decision?
Here's the bottom line - we cannot afford to support every single family that has no income. The money simply isn't there. How did our parents and grandparents survive the Great Depression when government aid was unheard of?
If you're willing to work for what those illegal immigrants will work for, you can get a job.
You might also have to move. Right now, the Dakotas have the lowest unemployment rates in the country. They have an oil boom, lots of roughnecks but not enough people to support the infrastructure. They need drivers, cooks, waiters, front desk clerks...all sorts of service positions are open. You might think of letting your family stay here for a while, and try your hand in the Dakotas.
BTW, you'll have an advantage if you're Black. The Dakotas are VERY White, and they have few preconceived notions about Blacks.
Am I understanding you correctly?
