Funny how, when off-island money is concerned, Wrightsville Beach residents are always whining about not getting a larger share, but when it comes to making off-island visitors feel welcome, it's always the attitude of the old bumper stickers we saw..."Welcome to Wrightsville Beach! Now leave!"

Also funny how, when offered an opportunity to have off-island parking, with shuttle service to the strand area, WITHOUT COST TO THE BEACH, Wrightsville Beach leaders were quick to not only oppose it, but actively prevent it.

Everything about public facilities on Wrightsville Beach screams, "STAY AWAY!!!", but the island always has its hand out to the mainland.
