...just telling you that I know of a similar situation in which the poor wife grew so frustrated she found a guy who loved her AND was big enough, tough enough to beat the snot out of her abusive husband on any day of the week.
She walked away from the marriage, got half of everything, got the kid, and the boyfriend (now husband #2) really only had to beat up husband #1 one time! (He did it on another occasion simply because he enjoyed himself so much the first time.)
Remember, I'm not recommending this course of action regardless of its success.
