I cna totally see how someone could hit a person walking on the road. I almost did last nite too, in a different part of town. The problem is people walking on the wrong side of the road, too close to the actual road & wearing black at night. I mean within seconds I saw the person, but it could have been too late! This is not a bike/walk friendly town and accidents will continue to happen like the onle last night. I don't know why there seems to be no education in regards to the "proper" way to share the road with massive vehicles that will kill you! I have taught my kids to walk against & bike with traffic and to assume they will hit you so get the heck out of the way.
I'm sorry the guy died. I would hate to be any part of that kind of accident.
