While this state isn't very generous with paved shoulders on the side of the road, I can't recall any shoulder condition that would force me to walk in and "share" a traffic lane with automobiles. I don't want to do that. Now if you want to "taunt" drivers and prove to them that you have a "right" to be in that traffic zone, then that's YOU'RE stupid game and I'm sure you can find a taker or two to play! Just expect to lose very quickly if that's your mentality.

You would do well to take a basic physics class to understand the basic concepts of Force, Mass and Acceleration.
