MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WWAY) - Singer Dolly Parton is hoisting the Jolly Roger in Myrtle Beach as she opens her new dinner theater this weekend.
Cacky talked exclusively with Parton this afternoon and will share that interview with you coming up on WWAY NewsChannel 3 at 5:30 p.m.
Parton says her western-themed Dixie Stampede show was very successful over 19 years but says it was time for a change and pirates are a theme that everyone can enjoy.
"Pirates Voyage" features two pirate galleons and a sunken wreck in a 15-foot deep indoor lagoon. It opens tonight evening with a VIP performance and opens to the public Saturday night.
The show features pirate battles and mermaids and represents an $11 million investment.
