a dog then maybe they would have soooo many. I worked there as a volunteer for a while and found a dog that I really clicked with, but when I went through the process of trying to adopt her I was denied. Why??? Because I had a daughter to the current world champion coonhound and she was not spayed...of course she wasn't spayed, she's a grand nite champion and grand show champion and we plan on breeding her this year for the FIRST time.
BTW the dog I wanted to adopt was intended to be a house dog, but instead of it going home with me where it would be loved and cared for in the A/C chilling on the couch, she was stuck in a kennel OUTSIDE IN THE HEAT and I'm sure she is probably still there.
If they would allow you to adopt....
