Some of the school board members did not attend a county budget meeting that would determine how many $$ the school system may get from the county -- all because Ms. Redenbaugh was honored -- ??

If that is what really happened it is a sad statement about the dysfunction of the school board. Redistricting won -- but the folks who voted for it don't seem to see themselves as winners! Move on, get over the Profiles in Courage Award, work together for our kids -- please act your age! If board members can't do the job as elected officials because they're miffed about an award maybe it's time to get new leadership on the board (and I don't mean replacing Ms. Redenbaugh).
