WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The students at New Hanover County's Snipes Academy of Arts and Design have created another masterpiece to show how much they've learned this year. This time, a class of third graders turned a plain white wall in the backyard of the Wilmington Children's Museum into a mural. It displays all four seasons of the year, complete with grass, snow, trees, flowers and even snowmen. "They learned to work large, and I'm a very big fan of large artwork, so this was the capacity of looking at the piece right in front of them and them having to work visually with that intensity was a great learning experience, and they're only third graders," Snipes art teacher Melony Conner said. The project took the students the entire school year to design, paint and seal.
